Key Responsibilities:Process customer quotations, pro forma invoices, and sales orders accurately and efficiently.Capture and manage purchase orders on the system.Proactively follow up on quotations to convert into salesLiaise with suppliers regarding stock, pricing, and lead times.Coordinate with the warehouse to verify stock availability and order readiness.Communicate with customers regarding order status, delivery timelines, and any delays.Assist walk-in customers in the tool shop with product selection, queries, and order processing.Ensure all documentation is correctly recorded and updated on the system.Provide administrative support to the sales team to ensure smooth order processing.Essential Requirements:Minimum of 3 years proven internal sales experience. Monitor stock availability and communicate shortages proactively. Assist with quarterly and year-end stock counts. Overview:
Our client, a well-established company in the motor industry based in the East Rand, is seeking a Parts Manager with specific experience in earth moving equipment / yellow metal machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in parts management, inventory control, and customer service, and will thrive in a fast-paced, technical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Oversee the parts department and ensure efficient operations
-Manage stock levels, orders, and inventory of parts related to earth moving and yellow metal equipment
-Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and clients
-Ensure accurate and timely sourcing and dispatch of parts
-Lead a team and ensure high levels of service and technical support
-Maintain records and prepare reports on parts usage and stock levels
Requirements:
-Proven experience as a Parts Manager in the motor or heavy machinery industry
-Specific experience with earth moving / yellow metal equipment is essential
