The Fleet Controller is responsible for coordinating drivers, monitoring vehicle performance, and ensuring adherence to company policies and road regulations.Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily fleet operations, including scheduling and dispatching of vehiclesMonitor vehicle tracking systems (e.g., C-Track) to ensure route compliance and efficiencyManage driver performance, attendance, and adherence to safety protocolsEnsure all vehicles are roadworthy, serviced, and compliant with legal requirementsCoordinate maintenance, repairs, and inspections of fleet vehiclesMonitor fuel usage, tyre management, and overall fleet costsMaintain accurate fleet records, logs, and reportingEnsure compliance with road traffic laws and company policiesConduct driver training and enforce safe driving practicesLiaise with internal departments and external service providersWork Experience Required:Minimum 5 yearsâ?? proven experience in fleet managementExperience operating and managing Code 14 trucks and trailersExperience within the transport or logistics industry preferredMinimum Qualifications:Grade 12 (Matric)Relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics, Transport Management, or similar (advantageous)Valid Code 14 EC Driverâ??s License with PDPMust pass VTS/Dover checks, medical examinations, and driver screeningsTechnical Knowledge & Skills:Strong knowledge and/or experience with:MAN TrucksGreco / Carrier Refrigeration SystemsHollandia / Sky-Jacks Tail-lift SystemsC-Track or similar fleet tracking systemsVehicle tyre management systemsSound understanding of road traffic laws and regulationsAbility to analyze fleet data and generate reportsComputer Literacy:Excellent proficiency in MS Office:ExcelWordOutlookPowerPointExchangeKey Competencies:Strong organizational and coordination skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyProblem-solving and decision-making abilityAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesStrong communication and interpersonal skillshttps://www.executiveplacements.com/Jobs/F/Fleet-Controller-1285085-Job-Search-06-01-2026-00-00-00-AM.asp?sid=gumtree
