This role is critical in ensuring that plant equipment operates safely, efficiently, and without interruption.Key Responsibilities:Inspect, service, and maintain mechanical equipmentPerform preventative and breakdown maintenanceTroubleshoot and repair faults and mechanical failuresWork on equipment such as:Pumps, compressors, fansGearboxes, conveyors, drives, couplingsEnsure all work complies with health and safety standardsKeep accurate records using a CMMS systemRead and interpret technical drawings and manualsPrepare and clean work areas before and after jobsWork shifts and overtime when requiredSupport plant reliability and reduce downtime Requirements:Trade Test Certificate as a Mechanical Fitter / Turner (Red Seal preferred)35 years experience post apprenticeship or in a similar environmentStrong understanding of:Mechanical systems and machineryFault finding and troubleshootingExperience working with:Pumps, compressors, gearboxes, conveyors, etc.Good problem-solving and communication skillsComputer literate (MS Office / maintenance systems)Ability to work independently and in a team
