This is a senior leadership role suited to someone with strong operational oversight, commercial awareness and the ability to bring structure and direction to a busy roadfreight environment.Responsibilities:Manage a fleet of approximately 70 company-owned vehicles as well as subcontracted transport providers.Oversee local long-haul and cross-border FTL operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance.Lead and manage a team of 45 senior staff, with overall responsibility for 100+ employees including drivers.Provide operational support and act as second-in-command to the National Operations Manager when required.Drive fleet management strategies, including evaluating and implementing long-term vehicle leasing options.Monitor operational performance through systems, reporting and data analysis.Oversee cost management, including transport costing, insurance claims and operational efficiencies.Bring structure, leadership, and clear direction to the team to improve operational performance.Requirements: Proven experience in a Roadfreight / Transport Management role within a medium to large logistics company.Strong background in fleet management and transport operations.Experience managing large teams and multi-layered operations.Solid understanding of transport systems and reporting (experience with Winfreight would be advantageous).Knowledge of cross-border transport operations and long-haul logistics.Strong leadership, decision-making and operational planning skills.If you meet the above requirements and are ready for a senior operational role within a growing logistics environment, we encourage you to apply.
