About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled, technically minded
Electrician who is Red Seal certified or holds a valid Wireman’s License and
can competently perform both electrical and mechanical repairs.
This hybrid role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, understands
machinery, and can work confidently across electrical systems and basic
mechanical components.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Duties
Perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and fault‑finding on electrical systems
in accordance with SANS standards.
Read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical
schematics.
Install, test, and troubleshoot industrial electrical
systems.
Mechanical & Technical Duties
Conduct routine mechanical maintenance on machinery and
equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on motors, pumps,
production machinery, and related components.
Assist with mechanical breakdowns as part of planned and
unplanned maintenance activities.
Support all engineering and production teams with hands-on
technical solutions.
Apply strong technical reasoning and troubleshooting skills
in cross‑disciplinary
environments.
Other supporting and admirative duties as required by
foreman and manager.
Minimum Requirements
Red Seal Trade Test or Wireman’s License ( 3 phase
competency).
3–5 years electrical maintenance experience, including fault‑finding, planned maintenance,
and breakdown response.
Mechanical aptitude with experience in basic mechanical
repairs (motors, pumps, machinery).
Technically minded, with strong diagnostic and problem‑solving abilities.
Flexibility to work overtime, when required at short notice,
and ability to attend after‑hours
call‑outs as part of
duties.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transport.
Strong knowledge of SANS 10142‑1
and safe working practices
