Description
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, update, and maintain construction schedules, ensuring alignment with project milestones and execution strategies.
  • Prepare detailed project plans, lookahead schedules, and progress curves to support site and project management teams.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commercial departments to ensure accurate project planning.
  • Track project progress, identify deviations, and propose corrective actions to mitigate schedule risks.
  • Collect, analyse, and report daily/weekly/monthly progress data to project managers and stakeholders.
  • Prepare resource-loaded schedules and support manpower forecasting and allocation.
  • Assist with construction sequence planning, work package development, and installation methodology.
  • Communicate regularly with site supervisors, engineers, and management to capture real-time progress updates.
  • Evaluate contractor schedules, progress claims, and planning deliverables.
  • Maintain accurate project planning documentation and contribute to project reporting.
  • Support change management processes through schedule impact assessments.

Job Experience & Skills Required (Ideal Candidate Profile):
  • Proven experience as a Construction Planner within mining, industrial plant, or EPC/EPCM project environments.
  • Strong proficiency in project planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Understanding of engineering drawings, construction workflows, and project execution sequencing.
  • Ability to engage with multidisciplinary teams and capture accurate progress information.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Relevant technical or project management qualification is an advantage.
