DUITES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties include the following:

New Product & Content Development

• Lead the conceptualization, development, and refinement of accredited and non-accredited learning products.
• Manage end-to-end course design including curriculum mapping, learning outcomes, and instructional design aligned to NQF standards.
• Ensure the development of learning content, assessments, and materials meets the QCTO and SETA requirements.
• Continuously enhance and fine-tune course content to maintain industry relevance and pedagogical integrity.
• Manage the buying of content and the content suppliers.
• Manage the high-level content management and writing for educational purposes.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and industry consultants to ensure products reflect evolving sector demands.
• Develop short courses as standalone educational offerings, ensuring agile deployment and rapid alignment with workplace skills needs.
• Oversee version control, instructional quality, and updates of all academic content and resources.
• Ensure alignment of content to internal quality assurance frameworks and accreditation standards.

Full Ownership
- Design, implement, document, and maintain the applications you build.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and fix bugs across the entire stack (UI, business logic, database) and continuous improvements
Feature Development
- Build web features in ASP .NET Core (MVC or Razor Pages) targeting .NET 6+.
- Implement data access with EF Core against MySQL and write clean, modular, SOLID-compliant code.
Business Logic & Data
- Translate requirements into flexible business-logic layers with proper validation and error handling.
- Use asynchronous data operations to keep the UI responsive and scalable.
Web UI
- Create and maintain responsive pages (forms, tables, interactive views).
- Leverage a lightweight CSS framework (e.g. Bootstrap) for consistent, readable styling.
Automated Testing
- Write unit tests with xUnit or NUnit covering â?¥ 80% of core logic.
- Optionally add lightweight integration tests for critical UI flows or services.
Configuration & Deployment
- Apply EF Core migrations and seed data automatically at start-up.
- Manage environment-specific settings so you can switch between local/dev and MySQL-based production without code changes.
Documentation & Collaboration
- Produce a clear README that explains setup, running, and testing.
- Document your design choices, assumptions, and a potential upgrade path (e.g. migrating the UI to a SPA framework).

Required Skills & Experience
- Developing Experience (4â??6 years or several medium projects)
- Important skills C# and ASP .NET Core MVC or Razor Pages
- Entity Framework Core (CRUD, migrations, async LINQ)
- Intermediate experience with MySQL (experience designing schemas, writing queries, EF Core provider)

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and maintain single-phase electrical wiring systems in residential and commercial buildings
