Key Responsibilities:Manage and optimise credit portfolios across multiple strategies, ensuring strong risk-adjusted returnsConduct in-depth credit analysis on issuers and underlying assetsMonitor portfolio performance, identifying key risks, trends, and opportunitiesDevelop and implement credit risk mitigation strategiesPrepare high-quality reports and presentations for internal committees and external stakeholdersSupport investment decision-making through robust financial modelling and analysisIntegrate ESG considerations into the credit assessment and investment processOversee compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirementsEngage with clients, issuers, and other key stakeholders on credit-related mattersContribute to the development and enhancement of credit risk frameworks, models, and processesManage credit events and provide strategic recommendations in responseStay abreast of macroeconomic trends and market developments impacting credit marketsMentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative team environmentRequirements:Minimum of 5 years experience in credit portfolio management, credit analysis, or a related fieldStrong academic track record; CA(SA) and/or CFA highly advantageousProven experience within asset management, banking, private credit, or ratings environmentsDeep understanding of credit risk principles, financial statement analysis, and credit rating methodologiesExperience across investment grade, high yield, and/or structured credit portfoliosAdvanced financial modelling and analytical capabilitiesStrong proficiency in Excel and financial analysis toolsSolid understanding of financial markets and economic drivers of credit riskAbility to manage multiple portfolios and deliver under tight deadlinesKey Competencies:Strong analytical and quantitative skillset with high attention to detailAbility to translate complex data into clear, actionable insightsExcellent communication and presentation skillsStrategic thinker with sound judgement and problem-solving abilityHigh level of professionalism, integrity, and accountabilitySelf-starter with a proactive and ownership-driven mindsetStrong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across teamsFor more exciting Finance vacancies, please visit:
