Job PurposeSales across Africa (with regular travel to mining regions in Southern Africa, East Africa, Central Africa and West Africa,) To drive the sales and market penetration of industrial pumps and pumping solutions within the African mining industry. The Pump Sales Representative will develop new business, maintain existing customer relationships, provide technical support, and strategically position the companys products to meet mining sector needs such as dewatering, slurry handling, tailings transport, and process water management. Minimum requirements:National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (advantageous). Sales, Marketing, or Business qualification (beneficial). Minimum 35 years experience in technical sales within the mining or heavy industrial sector. Direct experience selling industrial pumps (centrifugal, slurry, dewatering, diesel-driven, submersible, etc.) highly preferred. Strong understanding of mining operations, including dewatering, slurry transport, and process water systems. Ability to read technical drawings and pump curves. Knowledge of pump sizing, NPSH, materials of construction, and mining application requirements. Familiarity with self-priming diesel pump sets mounted on skids or trailers. Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development Identify, target, and secure new mining clients (surface and underground operations). Conduct site visits to assess application conditions and propose suitable pump solutions. Prepare and deliver quotations, tenders, and proposals aligned with client specifications. Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Customer Relationship Management Maintain strong relationships with mine engineers, project managers, procurement teams, and consulting houses. Provide post-sales support, resolve customer issues, and ensure overall client satisfaction. Conduct regular account reviews and monitor ongoing projects. Technical Expertise Recommend pump models, materials, and configurations suitable for mining conditions (abrasive slurries, corrosive fluids, high-pressure dewatering, diesel-driven self-priming pump sets, trailer/skid units, etc.). Present product training to customers and distributors. Market Intelligence Continuously research competitor offerings, pricing, and market trends. Our client, a well-established renewable energy company based in Mossel Bay, is seeking an experienced Solar Installer / PV Installer to join their growing team.This role is ideal for a hands-on, technically minded individual with practical experience in solar installations who is physically fit and comfortable working on-site and at heights.Key Responsibilities:
Installation of solar PV systems (grid-tied, hybrid, and off-grid)
Mounting of panels and inverter installations
Cable routing and electrical connections
Assisting with system commissioning and testing
Working on residential, commercial, and agricultural sites
Travelling to various installation sites when required
Ensuring all installations comply with safety standards
Minimum Requirements:
2+ years’ experience in solar / PV installations
Industry experience essential (formal qualification advantageous but not required)
Valid driver’s license and own transport
Willingness to travel for installations
Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
Comfortable working at heights
Strong work ethic and reliability
Advantageous:
Code 10 driver’s license
Electrical qualification (N2 / N3 or equivalent)
