Key ResponsibilitiesMechanical Design Review & ApprovalReview structural, tracker, and torque tube designs to ensure compliance with project specifications and engineering standards.Approve mechanical drawings to IFC stage.Ensure designs are robust, manufacturable, and safe for construction and long-term operation.Structural Reliability & Fatigue AssessmentAssess structural reliability under design loads, environmental conditions, and fatigue over time.Verify all mechanical systems meet safety, durability, and performance requirements.Collaborate with engineering teams to implement design improvements and optimizations.Collaboration & Technical CoordinationCoordinate with civil, electrical, and project engineering teams to ensure fully integrated designs.Provide technical guidance to EPC teams and resolve mechanical queries during construction and installation.Participate in design review meetings and maintain design compliance.Documentation & ReportingMaintain records of reviewed drawings, approvals, and design calculations.Produce technical reports, review notes, and design compliance documentation.Ensure all mechanical designs meet internal quality and client standards. Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum RequirementsBSc / BTech in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).Approximately 10 years experience in mechanical design, structural engineering, or renewable energy projects.Proven experience with tracker systems, torque tube assemblies, and structural/fatigue analysis.Proficiency in CAD software, structural analysis tools, and engineering calculations.Preferred Skills & AttributesKnowledge of Solar PV tracker systems and structural mechanics.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.Experience reviewing and approving designs to IFC standards.
