Test Engineer: Product Development

REQUIREMENTS

• Affirmative Action South African citizen
• National Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
• Experience in solving complex mechanical engineering problems
• Specialised computer literacy (measurement systems)
• Excellent presentation/ reporting writing skills
• Good technical problem-solving ability
• Experience and knowledge in working with engines and/ or vehicles

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, schedule and coordinate the successful completion of tests
• Mechanical, climatic and durability testing of components
• Oversee and manage the use of test equipment
• Initiate and conduct investigations into the new vehicle technologies
• Analyse test specifications to ensure all requirements are met and the results produced are validated
