Key ResponsibilitiesSource and procure aviation, electronic and mechanical components according to BOMs and engineering specifications.Manage local and international suppliers, negotiate pricing and secure optimal lead times.Maintain full traceability of all parts, including certificates, serial numbers and GRN processes.Set up and manage a structured technical stores environment shelving, barcoding, stock control and issuing of parts.Capture and track all stock movements on the inventory system (Aerotracks or similar).Handle logistics, shipping, customs and documentation for imports and exports.Collaborate closely with engineering, electronics, mechanical, operations and logistics teams.Minimum RequirementsGeneral:Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Engineering or a related field.35+ years experience in a technical buyer/procurement/stores role within electronics, mechanical or a highly technical engineering environment.Strong understanding of BOMs, part numbers and ERP/inventory systems (Aerotracks advantageous).Imports/exports experience and exposure to international suppliers.Strong organisational skills, technical aptitude, attention to detail and excellent stakeholder communication.Mechanical Focus:Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings and specifications.Extensive knowledge of material types such as steel grades, alloys, plastics and composites.Understanding of machining and fabrication processes (CNC machining, casting, welding, surface treatments).Prior experience within manufacturing, engineering or fabrication environments is ideal.
