JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The Senior Product Manager will work directly with the CEO and collaborate with a network of engineers, designers and factories to bring innovative products to life. This is a senior leadership role within the product team, working closely with executive leadership and collaborating with cross-functional partners including engineering, design, and manufacturing.The successful candidate will drive product strategy, oversee development, and help scale the brand into a globally recognised leader. As Senior Product Manager, you will play a central role in shaping the future of the companys product portfolio and international expansion. You will have direct influence on high-impact launches and long-term product strategy. This role is for someone who wants to build a world-class product function inside a fast-scaling brand, not just manage projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the full Product Development Process from concept to mass production, ensuring products launch on time, on cost and at the highest quality standardTranslate product vision into clear PRDs, engineering briefs and structured sprint plansLead sprint planning and allocate work across Mechanical, Electrical and Industrial Design partnersDrive feasibility validation, DFM coordination, prototyping, testing and certification pathwaysDesign products backwards from target gross margin, owning BOM targets, landed cost modelling and cost optimisationLead supplier engagement and relationship alongside the CEOOwn product lifecycle performance - defect tracking, return analysis, version updatesEnsure product decisions align with brand, commercial and operational goals REQUIREMENTS6+ years experience managing physical product developmentHave taken products from concept through to mass production proven project history is essentialStrong understanding of manufacturing constraints and DFMHighly structured and systems-drivenStructured, systems-driven; experienced managing remote engineering/design teamsCommercially minded with strong margin awarenessThrive in fast-moving, founder-led environmentsClear communicator with strong ownership mindsetBuild and continuously refine the Companys Product Playbook, systems and documentation standardsAt home in fast-moving, founder-led environmentsMust be South Africa-based (Cape Town preferred)
