THE PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The purpose of the TOPS Store Manager is to control inventory in their
department to meet set targets.
KEY
RESPONSIBILITIES
§ Manage Departmental targets and profitability.
§ Manage Stock, ensuring products are neatly labelled
and displayed to promote sales.
§ Supervise, evaluate, train and schedule work of floor
personnel.
§ Be responsible for stock counts.
§ To manage the Gross Profit of the department including
wastage.
§ Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and
following the rules of health and safety.
§ Understanding all aspects of the business both back
and front of house.
§ Adhere to grooming and appearance standards
consistently.
§ Promptly address customer service issues and refer
customers to management when necessary.
§ Performance appraisals and performance management of
floor personnel.
§ Perform other related duties as assigned.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
§ A Matric Certificate
§ At least 3 years’ experience within Retail
§ A clear criminal record
§ High level of energy with strong customer service
skills
§ Have a high level of integrity
§ Have strong problem-solving skills
§ Be able to manage staff
§ Be able to work under pressure
§ Be able to be firm and resolute in decisions
§ Helpful, courteous approach to resolving complaints
§ Prepared to work shifts and long hours
