Your day-to-day duties will include:Independently reading technical drawings and work instructions to correctly set up and configure 5-axis machining centres, including Hermle, Burkhardt Weber, and Waldrich Coburg.Producing complex, high-precision components frequently prototypes or small series to exacting tolerances.Carrying out in-process quality controls throughout production to maintain the highest standards.Managing microplanning on the machine, ensuring the efficient and effective use of tooling and materials.Providing constructive feedback to programmers upon job completion, identifying what worked well and where improvements can be made.Conducting root cause analysis when quality issues arise and actively contributing to preventive solutions and continuous improvement.Working within a 5-shift (2-2-1) rotation pattern covering early day, late day, and night shifts.Experience & QualificationsWe are looking for candidates who combine technical expertise with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for precision machining:Broad, demonstrable experience as a CNC Machinist within the precision engineering industry essential.Proven ability to independently read and interpret complex technical engineering drawings.Hands-on experience with measuring tools and in-process inspection techniques.Strong, demonstrable experience operating 5-axis machining centres essential.Experience with Siemens CNC control systems essential.Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining challenges.Ability to work in a structured, accurate, and methodical manner.Strong communication skills, with the confidence to provide technical feedback to programmers and colleagues.A collaborative team player with a genuine sense of quality and pride in workmanship.Willingness to work a rotating 5-shift pattern including nights and weekends.
