Main Duties:Implement and manage workshop safety systems in line with ISO 45001 and other relevant standards.Conduct regular risk assessments, safety inspections, and ensure control measures are in place.Lead and deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing training for workshop and site staff.Monitor daily workshop operations for compliance with health and safety legislation.Maintain accurate and up-to-date incident, inspection, and audit records.Take responsibility for the ordering, stock control, and distribution of PPE for all workshop personnel.Investigate accidents and near-misses, and oversee the implementation of corrective actions.Work closely with workshop supervisors and project managers to promote a strong safety culture.Ensure compliance with legal and internal safety requirements at all times.Qualifications & Skills:Proven experience in a safety officer role, ideally within steel construction, fabrication, or heavy industry.Sound knowledge of ISO 45001 and occupational health and safety regulations.Certification in Health & Safety (NEBOSH, SAMTRAC, OSHA, or equivalent).Experience in PPE management and procurement processes.Strong communication, training, and leadership skills.Ability to conduct thorough investigations and write clear safety reports.High attention to detail and commitment to fostering a safety-first culture.Please only apply should you meet all of the requirements.
