IntroductionAs the Jewellery Processing Centre Manager, you will typically oversee the end-to-end operations of the facility which is dedicated to the refurbishment, valuation, and sale of jewellery. The JPC is a business unit that processes high volumes of pre-owned jewellery within the Crusaders Corporate Group of Stores.Key ResponsibilitiesThe manager is responsible for ensuring efficiency, quality control, and profitability within the processing centre.Overseeing the workflow for cleaning, repairing, fixing, and remodelling jewellery items.Implementing and enforcing stringent quality standards for all finished products before they are sold to customers.Ensuring accurate valuation and the creation of appropriate certification for items (e.g., for diamonds, gemstones, and precious metals).Managing stock levels, findings (components), stones, and implementing robust systems to prevent loss and shrinkage.Leading, motivating, and managing a team of artisans, process controllers, and administrative staff.Developing and implementing training programs for JPC staff on the proper procedures for buying, repairing and selling jewellery.Coordinating the secure transport of items between stores, the processing centre, and suppliers/refineries.Assisting with strategic projects related to the centres operations and expansion.Skills RequiredStrong organizational and process management skills to ensure a seamless and efficient workflow.Meticulous attention to detail, crucial for quality control of high-value items.Ability to lead and develop a team and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders.
