We’re looking for a reliable, kind and highly organised part-time household helper for an elderly couple in Gordon’s Bay. The primary focus is thorough cleaning and bringing order to the home (systems, cupboards, linen, clutter control). Calm, respectful home.
Schedule:
• 2 days per week (fixed days preferred)
• R400 per visit
• Max 3 hours per visit (strict cap)
• Long-term role
• Paid trial shift (same rate)
Main duties (priority order):
1. Cleaning: kitchen, bathrooms, floors, dusting, bins
2. Laundry + linen rotation (wash/fold/pack away)
3. Organising cupboards (clothes + linen) and maintaining tidy systems
4. Light meal prep / simple cooking (time permitting)
5. Water pot plants + light weeding in stone/paved areas
6. Medication reminders only (no nursing/medical care)
Driving (occasional):
• Sometimes driving to shops / clinic / doctor appointments
• Driver’s licence required; own car preferred
• Petrol + parking reimbursed when driving is needed (agreed upfront)
• Driving time is included in the 3-hour cap
Requirements:
• Strong organising skills (must enjoy creating order)
• Trustworthy, punctual, friendly, respectful
• Valid ID + 2 contactable references
• Non-smoker preferred
