This critical role is responsible for ensuring full compliance with legal, ethical, environmental, labour, food safety, and export requirements, while safeguarding our market access and promoting a culture of sustainability and ethical conduct.Key ResponsibilitiesCompliance & ExportEnsure compliance with South African legislation and international export requirements.Manage EU verification audits and customer-specific compliance protocols.Liaise with regulatory authorities, auditors, and certification bodies.Certification & Audit ManagementMaintain certifications including GLOBALG.A.P., SIZA, and customer standards.Coordinate internal and external audits (announced, unannounced, and investigative).Ensure corrective actions are implemented and audit readiness is maintained.Human Resources & Industrial RelationsManage recruitment, onboarding, contracts, and employee records.Handle disciplinary processes, grievances, and CCMA cases.Ensure labour law compliance and fair, consistent workplace practices.Ethical Trade & SustainabilityAct as the designated Ethical Manager for the business.Ensure compliance with ethical trade standards and SIZA requirements.Manage environmental compliance including water, waste, and sustainability reporting.Occupational Health & SafetyImplement and maintain Health & Safety systems.Conduct risk assessments and incident investigations.Manage injury-on-duty cases and statutory reporting.
