Requirements:Qualification: National Diploma in Mineral Processing and Extractive Metallurgy or equivalent or a degree in a relevant scientific field, Analytical equipment training and supervisory training.Summary of Duties:* Preparing sound metallurgical test work sampling plants* Conducting sample preparation and test works in line with approved sampling plants and procedures* Preparing detailed technical reports for each metallurgical test work sampling exercise* Maintaining records for all test for processing plants* Developing and updating relevant standard operating procedures for various metallurgical test worksTask specifics & Experience* At least 2 years experience in a mining or beneficiary environment* Perform laboratory tasks including sample preparation, chemical analysis, content analysis, ore mineral identification, particle size analysis, collecting data and maintaining equipment, within a metallurgical environment* Skill sets: Required skills include attention to detail, technical knowledge and proficiency in using lab equipment including XRF* Data collection and Analysis: recording data accurately, analyzing test results and providing the integration of different analysis into comprehensive reports* Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring all lab equipment is in working order and properly calibrated, ensuring that maintenance and service requirements are met.* Sample Preparation: Preparing specimens and samples for analysis.
