The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing stock control across multiple stores, ensuring stock integrity, and working closely with suppliers and store teams to maintain optimal stock levels and cost control.Key Responsibilities:Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock takes across all stores and head officePerform spot checks and ensure compliance with prescribed receiving practices and proceduresMonitor and track stock transfers between stores to maintain accurate recordsInvestigate and report on stock discrepancies, wastage, and inefficienciesSupport the accounts team with creditor checks, invoice capturing, and payment trackingEnsure sales figures are accurate through periodic checks on key stock itemsStay up to date with the GAAP POS system, ensuring seamless data flow and store connectivityBuild and maintain strong relationships with suppliers while monitoring price changes and potential cost-saving opportunitiesAssist store managers in adhering to stock department budgets and minimising food costsAttend and contribute to weekly team meetings, providing insights and reports on stock performanceIdeal Candidate:Proven experience in stock control, preferably in a multi-store environmentStrong analytical skills and a meticulous attention to detailProficiency in stock management systems and POS software (GAAP experience advantageous)Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with suppliers and store teamsAbility to work independently and take initiative in problem-solvingStrong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyEE Disclaimer: All positions will be filled in accordance with the companys Employment Equity plan.
