Required:3 years experience in a similar position.Familiar with the feed milling industry regarding quality standards and systems.Relevant Health and Safety qualification.Safety, risk and health knowledge in a Manufacturing environment.Comply with and implement both corporate and safety, health and risk policies, procedures and work instructions.Implement health, safety and risk to meet all relevant legal and company requirements.Ensure that you are familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Act at all times and inform the Branch Management and staff of any changes as and when they occur.Have monthly health and safety meetings and keep a record of all the meetings conducted.Ensure that all quality, safety, risk, environmental, production and logistical, systems are maintained.Update and maintain the quality data system.Report on housekeeping practices in production area, workshop and outside factory, in line with the company health and safety and environmental guidelines.Together with Production and Maintenance, identify, implement and monitor the areas of plant utilities, efficiencies, safety and risk, to provide an effective service.Implement and coordinate training for health, safety and risk together with HR and the Training department at the Head Office.Ensure that all staff are skilled and trained according to their work instructions relevant to their job as and when they start their employment.Ensure at all times the safety of personnel, products and all work procurement.Ensure that the plant is free from mycotoxins and salmonella by performing monthly checks.Joint responsibility with the Branch Manager for all contractors entering into the premises and ensure that they are taken through an induction.Responsible for the safety induction of new employees before they start with their new job.Responsible for all injuries on duty and ensure that employees get the proper medical attention needed.Send record/minutes of meetings to the National Safety, Health and Risk Coordinator as well as the Branch Manager and provide feedback to all parties involved.Ensure that all health, safety and risk items are communicated to all staff at a branch level, with regards to their responsibilities and authorities.
