The successful candidate will play a key role in creating robust, reliable, and innovative solutions for demanding mining environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and optimise mechatronic systems for mining machineryIntegrate mechanical, electrical, electronic, and control systems into cohesive designsProduce detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentationPerform simulations, calculations, and design validationsSupport prototyping, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of equipmentCollaborate with manufacturing, maintenance, and project teamsEnsure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirementsAssist with continuous improvement of existing machinery and systemsMinimum RequirementsBachelors degree in Mechatronic Engineering 3+ years experience in design engineering, preferably in mining or heavy machineryStrong understanding of mechanical design, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systemsExperience with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar)Knowledge of PLCs, sensors, actuators, and control systemsAbility to work in harsh industrial or mining environmentsStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
