They are looking for a BuyerBrief Role DescriptionTo ensure that the company operates effectively by sourcing raw material on time & in full as per the production requirements.Key Duties:Cost ControlMonitor Raw Material Budget & SpendCost Reduction Activities & ProjectsMonitor and minimize price variancesSupplier Price and Payment Term NegotiationExpediting of raw material and components as per budget and priceEnsure supplier price updates are implemented as agreementMonitor stock holding of outsourced suppliers within stock policySupplier ManagementMonitor supplier delivery performance (OTIF) dailyManage supplier agreements (Supply agreement & SLA) for direct material / component suppliersManage BBBEE compliance for all suppliersMonthly reporting supplier performanceManage supplier riskExpeditingGenerate purchase orders as per production requirementsEnsure supplier receives and accept ordersFollow up and resolve shortages and late deliveries (Raw material and components)Notify management regarding any late delivery / shortages that can cause a risk to productionManage outsourced parts and raw material stockAdministrationGenerate and update raw material budget and ensure all info is accurate as per policies and targetsGenerate supplier forecasts and send to suppliersManage supplier RFQsEnsure all Purchasing procedures and processes are updated and filed as per company policyAssist with department / finance queriesDepartment reportingQualification and Experience requirementsDegree in Purchasing / Supply Chain3 years experience in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of working with an MRP systemKnowledge of Syspro, MS Excel, MRP SystemImport & Export Knowledge
