They would like to appoint an External Sales Representative to Identify new sales prospects and manage existing clients to identify business opportunities as well as assisting the company to grow in the industry.Responsibility:Sell products by establishing contact
• Maintain and develop relationship with customers by providing support, information, and guidance
• Recommending solutions
• Visiting and quoting customers
• Following up on quotation
• Prepare reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information
• Maintain quality service by enforcing company standards
• Invoicing customers and order stock to complete customer back orders
• Doing deliveries when needed
• Following up on customer back orders
• Completing customer planning and visits.
• Doing cold calls to expand customer base
• Arranging and doing demos on welding machines
• Attending to all job-related administration
• Attending to all ad-hoc duties required by management
• Abide by the company’s SA’s Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures
• Reach monthly targets and GPs as discussed by Management and according to contract monthly
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Qualification: Matric
Tertiary Qualification: Will be advantageous.
Experience: Minimum 5 years Other:
• Code 8 driver’s licence
• Working with customers and maintaining customer relations
• Sales experience
• Experience in the welding industry
• Problem solving skills
• Ability to adapt to environment
• Ability to plan route for the week and visit customers accordingly
• Time management

Logistics Sales Representative – Kempton Park

Main focus will be new business development and Cold calling, retain and grow existing business.
Achieve Sales Targets.
Structured weekly call planner and call reporting detailing progress with new business development.
Retain and grow new and existing customer base in assigned markets.
Research and pursue new business opportunities.
Conduct market research and formulate plans to expedite sales.
Prompt response to all customer enquiries.
Prepare and present proposals.

Skills and experience required
- 3-5 years strong sales and account management experience (preferably in a service industry), including on the road sales and cold calling, , with proven track record.
- Valid Code 8 driver’s license.
- A high level of computer literacy, particularly in MS Excel.
- SAP Experience advantageous
- Understanding of general business concepts.
- Experience in all aspects of customer relationship management.
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
- A confident self-starter with the ability to nurture existing and new customer relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to speak and understand English and Afrikaans proficiently.
- Mature, resilient and must be able to handle pressure

Key ResponsibilitiesReview manufacturing drawings and specifications to determine manufacturing costsEstimate manufacturing costs by gathering data on each stock item that needs to be manufactured the weight, the size, the density, the type of material to be used, as well the processes used to manufacture the item.Also consider the cost of labour, raw material, transport costs and other overhead costs to manufacture the actual item.Develop unit cost models for standard shelving and racking items.Prepare and update the costing sheet.Ensure that the costing sheet is kept updated constantly.Generate product codes for each new item and keep the product code data base updated.Collaborate with technical, production and sales teams to ensure accuracy of the item to be manufactured.Skills and CompetenciesStrong numerical and analytical skillsMust be proficient in ExcelExperience in ERP system preferred Syspro preferred.Minimum two years of work experience in similar roleAble to read technical drawings (familiar with draughting design tools such as Autocad and Inventor).Knowledge of the manufacturing process preferredAttention to detail and ability to work under pressure (meet tight deadlines)Excellent communication skills
