WIRELESS ALARM & CCTV TECHNICIAN – VACANCYWe are seeking an experienced Wireless Alarm & CCTV Technician to join our growing security team.Key Responsibilities:
Installation, programming, and maintenance of wireless alarm systems
Installation and configuration of wireless / IP CCTV cameras
Setup and commissioning of NVRs, recorders, and mobile app viewing
Pairing wireless devices (PIRs, door contacts, keypads, remotes, sirens)
Network configuration for CCTV (Wi-Fi, IP addressing, routers, switches)
Fault finding on wireless communication, signal loss, and interference
Neat installation and client handover with system demonstrations
Minimum Requirements:
Proven experience with wireless alarm systems (e.g. Paradox, Ajax, DSC, Hikvision AX Pro or similar)
Experience installing wireless / IP CCTV systems
Strong understanding of Wi-Fi networks and basic networking
Ability to work independently and troubleshoot efficiently
Good customer service and communication skills
Advantageous (but not essential):
PSIRA registration
Experience with mobile app integration and cloud-based systems
Knowledge of access control, intercoms, or smart home integration

We have a vacancy for Installation Technicians or installers to work on Access Control, CCTV & Fire Detection Systems in the Knysna and George Areas. You must be able to work with hand and power tools to install cable, equipment and conduit. We are well established within the industry and this might just be the opportunity that you have been waiting for.

Role Overview
The role of a Qualified Electrician and Security Technician
is a dual-function position that combines expertise in general electrical work
with specialised skills in security system installation. The successful
candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing
electrical wiring, solar systems, and fixtures, as well as setting up and
servicing security devices such as alarms, CCTV systems, and access control
systems.
Core Responsibilities
·
Installation: Perform installation work
according to provided plans and blueprints, including electrical wiring,
lighting systems, and security systems. This task encompasses mounting control
panels, sensors, and cameras, and connecting all necessary wiring and
components.

Maintenance & Repair: Conduct routine
inspections of electrical systems and security equipment to ensure ongoing
reliability. Carry out preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns and be
able to diagnose faults, repairing or replacing damaged components as needed.

Testing & Compliance: Test all electrical
circuits and security systems to verify proper functioning. Ensure that all
work complies with relevant local and national electrical codes and safety
regulations, such as SANS 10142 in South Africa.

Documentation & Planning: Read and interpret
technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to plan installations
effectively. Maintain accurate records of all work completed and materials
used.

Customer Interaction: Consult with clients to
assess their specific security requirements, explain system operations, and
provide necessary technical support or instructions.
What We Offer

Salary range: R7,000 – R10,000 depending on experience

Employment contract – with probationary period
