Requirements

Responsibilities
Daily processing of financial and bank transactions (capture, update, maintain, journals)Assist with tax calculations and submissions (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax).Debtor and creditor processingMonitor debtors’ balances and review invoicesPerformance of supplier managementProcessing of journalsMaintain fixed asset registers (calculating and updating depreciation schedules, ensuring the registers are complete and accurate)Payroll function (wages and salaries), including submission of EMP related information on a monthly and bi-annual basisPreparation and submission of monthly management accounts

The
role will include:
Financial
Oversight & Reporting:
Manage
the entire financial cycle for the winery, including budgeting,
forecasting, and financial statement preparation (income statement,
balance sheet, cash flow statement).Ensure
compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for the
wine industryOversee
accounts payable, receivable, and payroll functions.
Financial
Planning & Strategy:
Create
and manage annual budgets, incorporating production forecasts, sales
projections, and marketing plans.Develop
long-term financial models to support business growth initiatives.Prepare
financial feasibility studies for capital expenditure projects (e.g., new
equipment, vineyard expansion).
Cost
Management & analysis:
Analyze
production, distribution, and marketing costs to identify areas for cost
savings and improvement.Develop
and monitor cost-effective strategies for grape sourcing, winemaking, and
inventory management
Industry & Regulatory Knowledge:
Stay up-to-date on industry
trends, regulations, and tax implications specific to wineries.Oversee compliance with
alcohol and beverage control regulations.
Qualifications,
Skills & Attributes needed:
Bachelor
Degree in Accounting or Finance – CPA or CMA Certification bonus!3 Years’ Financial Management experience within similar agricultural industryExcellent
understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory management
practicesProficiency
in financial modeling and forecasting softwareImpeccable
communication skills & able to collaborate easily with various
departmentsAbility
