The General Manager (bread unit) will be responsible for running profitable operations of the sites, increasing sales and elevating brand image, while producing a high quality product. Summarised responsibilities:Production: Produce high quality product at the required volumes at optimum cost levels.Plant Maintenance: Ensure the effective and efficient maintenance of the production plants, targeting a 4.5% unplanned DTDespatch and Deliver: Ensure an efficient despatch & delivery function at each bakeryTransport: Ensure the effective and efficient utilization of the fleetFinance and cash management: Control expenses and monitor cash control and cash handling proceduresManage debtorsEffectively oversee procurement, HR, admin and manage risk at the sites.Experience and qualifications:Bachelors degreeExperience in a senior leadership role within a commercial bakery environmentRegistered with the SACB (Chamber of baking) is advantageousExperience managing multiple stakeholders and leading through action.
