The Aluminium works department requires a committed, hardworking and trustworthy individual to join the team as a Forklift Operator. The successful candidate will report directly to the Line Manager. (SHIFT POSITION) JOB DESCRIPTION The Forklift Operator’s primary purpose is to provide support within the Aluworks division as dictated by operational requirements in the form of moving material, bags, bins and other products. The following tasks will include, but are not limited to:Carry out daily inspections of the Forklift and report any faultsDo general maintenance and cleaning of the ForkliftMove and place Aluminium products were instructedLoad and off-load aluminium materials on and off trucks or containersComplete check lists and log sheetsMaintain safe working procedures at all timesAbide by the regulations as set out in the O.H.S.A and company policiesApplicants must have the following qualifying criteria:Grade 12 certificate or equivalentValid Forklift license and/or certificate2 – 5 years relevant experienceWillingness to work overtimePrevious experience in a physically demanding working environment would be advantageous Attributes:Committed, hardworking and self-motivatedTime management and organizational skillsDisplay a professional work approachAbility to work independently and within a teamFlexible and willing to work overtime and shifts
