Minimum QualificationsAn appropriate, recognised qualification at NQF Level 7.A relevant NQF level 8 qualification will be an advantage. Minimum ExperienceSix years relevant work experience of which 3 years must be in a supervisory role.Two years experience in Microsoft Azure Cloud/Services.Experience and exposure in the Education sector will be an advantage.Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) will be an added advantage. Summary of dutiesAligning the operational plan and business objectives.Assist in developing, implementing and monitoring the ICT strategy.Ensure high network availability percentage and oversee the backup and recovery success rate.Manage and oversee technical support.Manage endpoint protection security services, including antivirus and patch management with regular reporting on compliance and system security.Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of servers, networks, software, and telecommunications systems.Ensure daily operations run smoothly, resolve complex technical issues, and provide technical advice/training.Manage and oversee ICT governance processes, including audit and policy implementation.Manage and co-ordinate projects and special projects.Manage and oversee the Units risk register.Develop the budget for the sub-unit.Lead, guide and develop ICT staff.
