Duties and Responsibilities:
Warehouse Management:
  • Operations Oversight: Oversee daily warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfilment, and shipping/receiving activities.
  • Implement and enforce best practices for warehouse processes, including inventory accuracy and order processing efficiency.
  • Staff Management: Supervise and lead warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Ensure staff are properly trained in warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and equipment use.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure warehouse operations comply with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Conduct safety training, enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and manage emergency procedures.

Facilities Management:
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Oversee the maintenance and repair of facility infrastructure, including HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized repairs and maintenance.
  • Facility Upkeep: Ensure the facility is clean, organized, and in good repair.
  • Manage janitorial services and coordinate regular cleaning and maintenance schedules.
  • Space Utilization: Optimize the layout and use of warehouse space to improve workflow and storage efficiency.
  • Plan and manage facility layout changes or expansions as needed.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Ensure facility operations comply with environmental regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.
  • Maintain necessary documentation and records related to facility management.

Administrative Duties:
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for warehouse operations and facility maintenance.
  • Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and maintain reports on warehouse and facility performance, including inventory levels, maintenance activities, and staff performance.
  • Analyse operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with suppliers, service providers, and contractors.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure service levels meet company standards.
