Minimum Qualifications: 

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with post qualification
  experience (4 – 7 years) in the automotive industry
  

Knowledge and Skills Required

• Proficient in the use of Autodesk Inventor/ Solidworks
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel & Outlook
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Ability to perform engineering calculations
• Ability to read and fully understand engineering plans and details
• Excellent technical understanding of engineering principles
• Working knowledge of ISO Standards
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills to interact with internal and
  external stakeholders. Comfortable and confident engaging with customers
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Creative problem solver with an analytical approach to implementation
  Ability to work under pressure, meet targets and work to deadlines

Main Responsibilities: 

• 3D modelling using Autodesk Inventor
• 2D drafting using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using Autodesk Inventor
• Preparation and review of technical documentation including proposals,
  statements of works (SoW) and specifications
• Production of bills of materials (BoMs)
• Providing technical support for manufacturing team
• Preparing technical reports, design specifications documents, and operational
  manuals
• Liaison with suppliers and manufacturing team
• Leading and participating in internal and external design review meetings
• Work collaboratively with design engineers and project managers
• Keeping abreast of the latest advancements in technology, design trends, and
  engineering best practices
• Managing project timelines, resources, and budgets
