Technical Director (Mechanical, Pr Eng)

Seeking a highly experienced, professionally registered Mechanical Engineer (Pr Eng) with deep expertise across HVAC, fire services, and wet services design, specializing in all three. This is a senior technical leadership role suited to someone operating at the Technical Director level, with sound commercial and business development capabilities, who would look after international contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ability to take technical responsibility for multi-disciplinary building services projects
• Strong design leadership across HVAC, fire, and wet services (all three are essential)
• Experience mentoring, guiding, and reviewing design teams
• Ability to produce, check, and sign off on high-level mechanical designs
• Adept at working on EPC/EPCM project environments
• Comfortable with client engagement and technical presentations
• Competence in generalist building services work, with the ability to integrate with electrical teams when required, but mostly mechanical
• Strong overall understanding of building regulations, standards, and compliance
• Experience in commercial building services design, including complex systems integration

Job Experience & Skills Required (Ideal Candidate Profile):

• Professional Registration: Pr Eng (Mechanical Engineering)
• 1520 years of mechanical engineering experience within Building Services
• Specialist-level capability in HVAC design complex commercial and largeâ??scale environments
• Advanced technical proficiency in:
  • Fire engineering design
  • Wet services design
