Professional Registered Architect

Our company, located in Pretoria, is currently seeking an experienced and qualified Professional Architect to join our team . The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Portfolio and must possess a minimum of five years of experience in a management or senior architect role, where they have effectively led a team.

Architect Responsibilities:

• Design Leadership:
• Lead the design process, ensuring the creation of innovative, functional, and sustainable solutions.
• Develop design concepts, layouts, and architectural plans that align with client needs and project goals.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety codes.
• Project Planning and Management:
• Oversee the entire project lifecycle from design development to construction completion.
• Manage schedules, budgets, resources and stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including contractors, engineers and specialised consultants to maintain alignment on project goals.
• Oversee the preparation of project documentation, including drawings and specifications

We require an individual who is open to travel. The ideal applicant should meet the following qualifications and experience

- A minimum of five years of post-professional registration as a Professional Architect

- Relevant architecture qualifications (Master's, B-Tech, or Honours)

- Valid registration with SACAP as a Professional Architect

- Capability to work under pressure

- Strong collaborative and team-oriented skills

- Proficient in project reporting and workload management

- Excellent communication abilities

- Expertise in CAD design, rendering, and 3D modeling

- Experience in managing design teams, sub-consultants, stakeholders, and contractors

- Exceptional planning and coordination skills

- Proven experience on public sector projects, specifically in healthcare and educational facilities, from inception to closeout

- Proficient Principal Agency skills

- A valid driver’s license

- own vehicle
