Operational Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day financial operations, including general ledger, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts and operational cost reports.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accurate financial planning.
• Collaborate with operational teams to optimize cost structures and improve efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, controls, and processes.
• Assist with audits and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.

Qualification and Skills Required:

• B.Com degree (completed articles preferred).
• 3 5 years post-article experience in a similar role.
• Exposure to mining, engineering, or manufacturing environments is essential.
• Strong understanding of financial fundamentals (FFF) and operational processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
