Efficiency Staffing Solutions (Pty) LtdRegistration No. 2022/876857/07 Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssisting with Refractory Installation:Assist qualified refractory masons with the installation, repair, and maintenance of refractory linings in furnaces, ovens, kilns, and manufacturing equipment.Support with mixing, placing, and curing refractory materials in accordance with specifications and instructions.Surface Preparation and Demolition:Assist with the removal of old, damaged, or worn refractory linings.Prepare surfaces by cleaning, chipping, and breaking out refractory materials to ensure proper bonding.Material Handling and Preparation:Measure, mix, transport, and handle refractory materials such as bricks, castables, and insulation safely.Load and move tools, materials, and equipment to and from work areas.Safety Compliance:Adhere strictly to the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and company safety procedures.Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection where required.Participate in toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety briefings.Housekeeping and Site Support:Maintain clean, safe, and organised work areas at all times.Assist with basic site setup, equipment preparation, and shutdown activities.Teamwork and Communication:Work closely with refractory masons, supervisors, and production teams to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.Follow instructions accurately and report hazards, unsafe conditions, or equipment issues immediately.Experience & Qualification1 to 3 years experience in a manufacturing, refractory, construction, or industrial maintenance environment.Exposure to furnace, kiln, or high-temperature environments will be advantageous.Valid Forklift Operator and/or Overhead Crane Operator certification will be advantageous.Medically fit and physically capable of performing manual labour.Additional InformationOnly applicants who meet the requirements outlined above will be considered.If you do not hear from us within 14 days, please consider your application unsuccessful.If you meet the above requirements, please submit your application, including your CV, qualifications / certificates, service certificates and a copy of your ID.
