THE POSITION Reporting to the Business Development Manager-The incumbent must have previous experience driving code 10 trucks-8 ton and have a valid PrDP. Communicate with the operators to prepare the loads in advance to speed up the loading process, this will assist you in achieving your targets.Supervise the loading and offloading of stock onto your vehicle to ensure the forklift driver do not damage your truck and curtains.Drivers are supplied with a company cell phone that stays in the truck and are expected to always be reachable.Conduct regular inspections on your Truck, check your lights, tyres, for any objects embedded in them, check the pressure and tyre tread, fluid levels, Water, oil, coolant, power steering fluid, brake fluid, windshield wiper fluid before every trip.Ensure all your curtain straps are closed and tightened before departing, the curtains might get damaged by the wind while driving.When receiving stock ensure the relevant visual quality checks are performed as per procedure.Ensure you receive documents or Invoice for each load, and that you check and ensure the stock corresponds with the documentation before departing.
