The role is responsible to secure the company premises and assets and to ensure that procedures are adhered to according to the company policy and proceduresMain ResponsibilitiesEffective observation of driver/crew adherence to company procedures whilst operationalReporting of faulty/defective operational equipmentEffective communication with the Control room and armoured VehiclesCompletion of daily road check inspection listEffective reporting of breaches and non-compliance of operational procedures to the SupervisorThrough monitoring ensure that operational on-road policies and procedures are adhered to at all timesEscorting bulk banking and other armoured vehicles in high-risk areasSafeguarding of armoured vehicles during breakdowns and after attacks on armoured vehiclesInform the National Control Centre (NCC) and Joint Operations Centre Controller (JOC) of potential robberies based on information received to ensure that all the relevant authorities are informedProvide immediate assistance during incidents using quick response to stabilize the situationProvide aid to emergency services and give feedback to the Control RoomWhen effecting an arrest in the absence of the police use minimum force and correct arrest procedures as set out in the Criminal Procedure ActUtilize protection methods that are in line with the threat without hindering normal operations and putting peoples lives in dangerEnsure that information is restricted to that individual on a Must and Need to know basisDefend attacks within the perimeters of the law. Report all safety incidents to the relevant peopleDiscuss all safety incidents on all levelsFollow-up on any activities assigned through safety meeting/committee/representative/managementAttend safety education and refresher programmesComply with safety policies and procedures at workplaceDistribute safety information as and when requiredWear protective clothing all the timeMinimum RequirementsMatric / Grade 12PSIRA Grade C Cash In Transit CertificationArmed Response CertificationDrivers LicenseBusiness Firearm Competency for business purposesMedical fitness certificate for the use of a firearmClear Credit and criminal recordMinimum of 3 years relevant experience in Cash in Transit/Armed reactionAbility to deal with Pressure/Time ManagementGood Communication skillsProblem Solving and Decision MakingTechnology SavvyGood Work Standards
