An Accountant

Purpose of the job:
As the Accountant for their division, the primary purpose of the role is to partner with the business to ensure effective financial control and to generate accurate, timely financial reports for customers and external stakeholders in line with internal and external reporting requirements and deadlines.

Experiential and Educational requirements:
3-5 Years related Experience, relevant financial qualification (BCom Finance or accounting, with articles an advantage)
MS Office: Intermediate

Essential duties and responsibilities:
Effective financial control and monitoring of the division in all aspects
Create and maintain a strong control environment
Support to business on the budget process
Forex analysis
Liaise with Internal customers to ensure high service delivery and support at all times
Creditor management
Stock control
General ledger control – including manual calculations and processes
Prepare weekly / monthly reporting to management
Assist with the quarterly & annual audits
Tax management and preparation of monthly VAT return
