Assist with general drawings, office filing in relation to monthly reports, parts lists etc. Ensure all drawings and related documentation is controlled in a meticulous and orderly fashion in line with company policies and procedures, essentially contributing to the success of the business unit, in line with the objectives of the company.Requirements:National Diploma Mechanical Engineering/ Draughtsman Diploma or Certificate.5 years experience in a similar role/ pump manufacturing or maintenanceUnderstanding of machining and geometric toleranceMechanical, structural, plant and pump station exposureProven ability to establish and maintain effective filing and archiving systemsGeneral understanding of engineering specifications and codesGeneral understanding of draughting principalsStrong Computer LiteracyCAD / Auto CAD / Inventor 3D - packages or similarResponsibilities:Do basic design calculations and selections pertaining to pump sets, base plates and auxiliariesDetailed component design including material properties, clearances, machining and tolerance, weld maps and writing of technical/ engineering procedures when requiredTo create customer related drawings, eg. general arrangements, structural baseplates, piping and sectional drawingsPump station, piping, system layout and designRedraw and create 3D models and assemblies base
