As the Technical Skills Trainer and Facilitator, you will support the foundation of our social change initiative. We are looking for an interconnected, strong, engaging role player who understands the profound impact of care and growth. Your passion for making a difference should shine through your work. In addition to your training responsibilities, youll actively contribute to managing various aspects of our programme, ensuring our participants receive exceptional support.
The ideal candidate understands the need to train and facilitate; skills training focused on imparting specific technical knowledge and practical abilities to learners. Trainers are responsible for structuring the training sessions, delivering content, and assessing participant progress in gaining the desired skills and meeting the Remake intended outcomes.
A facilitator plays a more guiding and supportive role in the learning process. Facilitators create an interactive and participatory environment where learners can engage with the material, share experiences, and collaborate with each other. Facilitators help participants explore concepts, solve problems, and apply their skills in real-world scenarios by guiding discussions, asking probing questions, and fostering group dynamics.
Key Requirements:
Educational Qualifications: A minimum of a Grade 12 qualification with relevant tertiary education.
Management: Demonstrated, strong leadership abilities, curriculum implementation insight and experience.
Training and Facilitation:
Practical experience in training and facilitation to guide our programme’s success. Assessor and moderator experience and ideally SETA accredited.
Contribute to and deliver our comprehensive training curriculum on industrial machine sewing techniques and maintenance.
Provide theoretical and practical instruction on sewing principles, pattern making, cutting and garment construction.
Foster creativity and innovation among participants, encouraging them to explore various design techniques and materials.
Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect effectively at all levels.
Problem-Solving:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to develop and implement an effective learning journey.
