The successful candidate will be responsible for:*
* Developing, implementing, maintaining and reviewing maintenance strategies, procedures, work packages and tasks.
* Utilizing maintenance management tools to ensure effective maintenance of all assets, including safety performance and statutory compliance.
* Managing and improving the maintenance management system (CMMS).
* Analysing routine preventative maintenance (PM) and screen corrective maintenance (CM) job cards and burning maintenance issues for opportunities to perform root cause failure analysis to prevent future failures.
* Coordinating root cause analysis and attending to procedural and equipment issues that arise to improve specific maintenance procedures.
* Providing technical assistance for supporting entire on-site maintenance activities, including critical processes such as MOC (Management of Change), PRA/WRA, PTW (Permit to Work), RCA (Root Cause Analysis).
* Analysing spare parts inventory requirements and continuously improving inventory control.
* Compiling periodic reports (weekly/monthly/quarterly/annually) covering maintenance and equipment performance ensuring accurate and up to date information for decision making.
* Proactively managing communication and relationships between departments.
* Driving Continuous Improvement initiatives and ideas related to sustenance, maintenance and capital projects.
* Ensuring the maintenance process and procedures are fully compliant to and in support of all applicable OHSA and regulations, site HSEQ procedures and policies and ISO 9000, 14000 and 45000 standards and requirements.
* Assisting with site Capex projects as per the PPM capex process to estimate, execute, and track costs and physical progress, ensuring project delivery meets challenging time constraints and within established cost and safety parameters.

Nesting of Plates:
Take the drawing and check whether what you import or draws matches the drawing before it is cut.
Check the first actual plate that is cut on each nesting to make sure that it is correct. If the first one is wrong, the problem must first be resolved before cutting is continued.
Plasma programmer to check stock on plates on request for quotation (RFQ) and give to Buyer.
Receive cutting list from Contracts Administrator
Check the priority of the contracts on the board.
Cut the plates as required:
· Check sizes of plates available of particular thickness and grade.
· Nest required plates
· Give operator cutting list and make sure he uses the correct plate.
· Make sure that cutting lists are filled in correctly and given to Contracts Administrator.
If the plasma is busy with a plate, ensure that the next plate is next to the plasma.
Off cuts to be stored neatly according to grade and thickness in plate storage racks.

*Job Description*
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, You will be responsible for:
* Overseeing the safe Manufacturing of products, as per approved drawings in the Manufacturing Department.
* Workshop Management and Quality Control.
* Manufacturing quotations and invoicing – cost control and waste reduction.
* Production Management and Planning – labour, material, consumables, process.
* Stock control – plan, order, receiving and issuing of stock.
* Manage sub-contractors and suppliers to improve efficiency.
* Oversee NDT and painting procedures, ordering of paint, control levels.
* Ensure all equipment is manufactured in accordance with local regulations, SANS and/or “Best Practice” which could be company or customer specific
* Compliance with ISO9001 and ISO45001 standards.
* Providing the customers with a safe products and material handling solutions that meets their requirements and exceeds their expectations.
* Achieving sales targets and growing the department.
* Visiting customers together with representatives as well as Engineering Manager.
* Acceptance/Approval and sign off Manufactured products by a contractor.
* Assisting with Risk assessments as and when requested by customers.
* Witness load tests together with a certified LMI.
*Qualifications*
* Qualified Boilermaker (Red Seal certificate (Section 13)) – Full Apprenticeship
* Welding Quality certification will be an advantage
* LMI (Lifting Machinery Inspector) will be an advantage
*Skills*
* Minimum of 6 years experience in a Manufacturing and *Structural Steel Fabrication* environment
* Minimum of 3 years management experience
* Boilermaking, welding, pc and costing experience a must
* Drivers Licence.
*Salary / Package*
R30K - R40K CTC per month
