The role requires strong hands-on experience operating CMM machines within an engineering/manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct dimensional and visual inspections on engineering components and assembliesOperate and utilize Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to verify product conformanceInterpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specificationsAccurately record, analyse, and report inspection resultsIdentify non-conformances and support corrective actionsEnsure adherence to ISO standards and internal quality proceduresPerform first article, in-process, and final inspectionsLiaise with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality issuesMaintain inspection, quality, and calibration recordsSupport internal and external audits as requiredMinimum RequirementsRelevant qualification in Quality, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical fieldProven experience as a Quality Controller / Quality Inspector in the Engineering or Manufacturing sectorHands-on CMM operating experience (essential)Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&TKnowledge of ISO 9001 quality systemsExperience using precision measuring equipment (verniers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)Computer literate with quality documentation and reporting systemsSkills & CompetenciesExcellent attention to detailStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently in a contract-based roleGood communication and teamwork skillsStrong reporting and documentation capabilityAdvantageousCMM programming experienceExperience in machining, fabrication, or precision engineering environmentsExposure to root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
