Safely isolate, ground and prepare circuits and electrical apparatus to enable repairs.Install electrical conduit, pull and terminate wiring.Install, repair, and maintain assorted control and monitoring instrumentation. This includes; electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and microprocessor-based control and monitoring systems.Ability to use test and calibration equipment to calibrate transmitters and control loops. Ability to use computer and related computer software to program controllers and analyse control loops. Install and calibrate pressure, temperature, flow, and level controls.Design layout work on panels, set up complex control systems, interpret and alter engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.Effectively communicate problems and solutions to resolve electrical problems.Supervise and participate in the on-the-job training of Utility Maintenance Person as needed.Observe installed systems to detect hazards and determine the need for adjustments or modifications.Use computerized maintenance system to retrieve and enter information.Assist in establishing and maintaining scheduled maintenance programs for plant equipment. Maintain records, update drawings, and develop safety procedures.Observe safe work practices to ensure that work does not endanger others.Perform other related work as required.
