Shift Boss â?? Underground Mine

Minimum Requirements

• Blasting Certificate for Scheduled Mines
• Minimum 5 years underground mining experience
• At least 2 years in a supervisory role (Shift Boss level)
• Strong knowledge of underground mining operations and safety standards
• Good leadership and communication skills

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate underground mining activities during the shift
• Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA)
• Monitor production targets and ensure they are achieved
• Enforce safety standards and procedures underground
• Conduct workplace inspections and risk assessments
• Lead and manage underground teams, including miners and operators
• Ensure proper communication between shifts and departments
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions

Advantageous
Experience in platinum mining
Trackless mining experience
