We are looking to employ a qualified and competent safety officer who will be responsible for the health and safety of staff in the workplace. The safety officer will compile safety programs Key Responsibilities Ensure full compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and applicable regulations. Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits. Identify hazards and implement corrective and preventative measures. Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses; compile reports and recommend corrective actions.Maintain accurate safety records, registers, and documentation. Facilitate toolbox talks, safety training sessions, and awareness campaigns. Monitor and control the issuing and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
