Business Analyst

Our client, a leading listed organisation, based in Gauteng is seeking a highly capable Business Analyst to serve as the critical bridge between business operations and IT. The ideal candidate will excel at understanding business challenges, translating them into system requirements, mapping end-to-end processes, and ensuring that technology enhancements deliver real business value.

This is a strategic, high-visibility role suited to an analytical professional who can simplify complex concepts, engage senior stakeholders, and work confidently with vendors and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document detailed business requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear system specifications using BPMN, process hierarchies, and process mapping tools.
• Present IT architecture, system changes, and solution options in a simple, business-friendly way to support decision-making.
• Liaise with vendors and evaluate technical solutions to ensure alignment with organisational architecture and business priorities.
• Create and maintain accurate process documentation, models, and visualisation tools.
• Work independently, taking proactive ownership of deliverables, timelines, and stakeholder relationships.
• Identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities in existing processes and systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Commerce or similar.
• Certification in BPMN, CBAP, or related methodologies.
• 35 years experience as a Business Analyst in a complex, multi-faceted environment.
• Strong experience in business process modelling, system integration projects, and requirements documentation.
• Proven ability to translate technical concepts into meaningful business insights.
• Experience working with external vendors and cross-functional internal teams.
