Sales Engineer

A specialist in corrosion protection and industrial maintenance solutions is seeking a driven External Sales Representative to grow business within the mining, processing plants, and heavy industry.

This role is ideal for someone who understands shutdown environments, plant maintenance cycles, and asset protection, and can sell high-value services that reduce downtime and extend equipment life.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

• Proven experience in external sales within the mining, processing plants, or heavy industry
• Strong exposure to corrosion protection, linings, coatings, or maintenance services
• Ability to engage with maintenance, engineering, and plant management teams
• Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to sites
• Track record of achieving sales targets in industrial environments

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Identify and secure opportunities during plant shutdowns and maintenance cycles
• Build relationships with maintenance managers, engineers, and project teams
• Conduct site assessments and identify asset protection needs
• Present tailored corrosion protection and maintenance solutions
• Manage the full sales cycle from opportunity to project close
• Maintain pipeline visibility and forecast upcoming shutdown opportunities
