The Role: Sales Representative (Building & Paint)
The purpose of this role is to market building and paint material supplies to secure new clients and manage existing relationships. It contributes to the business by promoting products, providing technical support, and managing the logistics of product deliveries. The main focus areas include generating quotations, conducting market research, and overseeing administrative governance through internal systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize a minimum of 4 years of experience in retail sales to meet business objectives.
- Promote building and paint products while providing technical advice and generating quotations.
- Coordinate logistics for product deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Foster and maintain productive relationships with customers, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and leverage business networks to secure new clients.
- Manage reporting, administration, and governance via internal systems such as QlikView.
- Champion digital tools and technologies to enhance marketing processes and the customer experience.
- Provide after-sales support to maintain client engagement.
About You
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in retail sales.
- Grade 12 supplemented by in-house sales courses or an NQF5 Diploma.
- Possession of own reliable transport and a valid drivers license.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in sales-related administration.
