Electrical design engineer

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Electrical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving electrical systems and components for a range of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.

• Design electrical systems, circuits, and control panels for industrial or commercial applications
• Prepare schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
• Perform load calculations, system sizing, and component selection
• Ensure designs comply with applicable standards and regulations
• Collaborate with mechanical, project, and production teams
• Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities
• Conduct design reviews and implement improvements
• Liaise with suppliers and clients on technical specifications

ð??? Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 37 years experience in electrical design (industry dependent)
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN Electric P8
• Knowledge of electrical standards (IEC, SANS, etc.)
• Experience with PLCs, control systems, or power distribution (advantageous)
